I am back...anyone miss me?

A few points:
  • The DG cans I had were really good. I actually preferred Lustra to Infinite Highway
  • Against the Grain Everybody Wants Some (IPL) had a very similar hop profile to Sip of Sunshine and it really surprised me.
  • Those Voodoo Cowbell cans are really tasty.
  • Being disconnected for most of last week really made me realize how stupid Untappd is. I deleted it from my phone.
  • BG got a lager tank and I couldn't be more excited.
  • I missed PCBW and I could care less.
Carry on.
Glad to hear that on your canoe trip you had a moment of clarity.

Also, with your search for beers for said trip you inspired me. I picked up a 6er of Von Trapp Pilsner yesterday. Drinking one now. Pretty awesome stuff! Thanks for letting me know about it.

Wait. So you are saying you are allowed to BUY a tank that you can specifically keep cold and this will have a positive effect on this style of beer? You sure that is on the up and up? Are you saying it's completely unnecessary to transport a beer to the caves of Western PA and lager it there? Are you absolutely sure you don't need to tunnel out a portion of earth under the Allegheny River and age it there? Next you're going to tell me that dry Churro'ing an Eisbock that was fermented in the tiny bellies of 2700 local sparrows just isn't the best idea.

East End is doing this, but it's a crystal malt IPA and it's called "Sparrow Hop".

No mention of BG's III yet? WTF?

I need as much of this as humanly possible. If anyone wants any NC stuff, please hit me up.

Within reason, no limit on this offer...would love random hoppy 32s/750s from them to be included as well.

On Sunday, May 21st, we will be releasing III, our third anniversary barleywine aged in bourbon barrels. Based on the positive feedback we received about the reservation system used for our Mise en Rose Collection launch, we've decided to utilize the same system for III. Reservations for Sunday's release may be made in person in the taproom* beginning next Wednesday (May 10th) - more release details to come in next week's newsletter.

kbuzz sees his trade bait stock plummet.
It's already just sitting on shelves in Denver. I don't think this is really a shocker. If you think of the access to the distribution system that ABI has, it makes a lot of sense for a brand that wants to be national or even regional.
