What are people thinking about Helltown's sherry aged Sanctuary? Saw that this was releasing this weekend.

I'm thinking that I'd check it out if I didn't resent the turnpike so much.

Yeah, the turnpike is a boring and ugly drive, but Helltown isn't too far from Pittsburgh. I haven't had Sanctuary, as the few times I've had Helltown has always been their hoppy offerings, which I've enjoyed. Odd that the barrel aged version is a lower abv than the base beer.

So, you've never seen Thom Yorke?
Or young Black Francis, who I assume got his pseudonym from Pee-Wee's Big Adventure?

But those dudes were at least assertive in some way or other and looked like they belonged on stage. Corghan never convinced me. (Although I still maintain the dude is a great songwriter)

Regarding frank black - that thought never once crossed my mind, but I bet you're right.

My thoughts on Billy Corgan and the Smashing Pumpkins.

-William lived like 3 blocks from my Oma and had a really nice garden

-We used to see him around the neighborhood and he was a real fuckhead

-James Iha dated one of the two hottest babes I've ever known in my life (they were twins and he probably banged both of them)

-their music ******* sucks

It was always my mom who tried to shield me from things. My dad pretty much didn't want to hear me bitch and moan when I didn't get my way, so he really didn't care about bad lyrics, R rated movies and what not. Him taking me to buy Rage Against the Machine's Evil Empire and the first Resident Evil on the same mall trip was one of the highlights.

Also always thought it was weird that Offspring's "Smash" wasn't parental advisory. I remember my friends and I sitting next to my boom box with the volume just above the noise level of a mouse fart listening to the song "Bad Habit".
+1 for Rage. And Offspring was the headliner of my first concert :p

I'd love to know what you TBers actually listen to, since all I ever really see is talk about what bands suck.
My GOAT is The Pixies. I was in a band that pretty much owed its life to them. Lately been into reverb-heavy garage-punk - Thee Oh Sees, Wavves, Best Coast, et al. - & old CBGB stuff.

And if any of the Radiohead nerds or GaR heshers on here want something to ridicule me over, I also dig The Bee-Gees, ABBA, The Monkees, & third wave ska.
