ok so I never really tried to make mead before, but I've been wanting to for the past couple of years,
so like 2 days ago I got a couple of pina colada juices (in big juice box form) (2 liters worth)
and I thought, **** it why not, let's make some mead.
i then went to the store, got some honey, and some bread yeast.
Here is the aproximate recipe:
2 liters of pina colada juice
400 grams Honey
2 packets of bread yeast (after a bit of research i realized that this is way too much)
I got home, prepared the yeast, i added just enough water to the honey to dissolve it.
i thought, since I had juice, water was unnecessary and would water down the taste
.
after 2-3 days (today), i poured a sip's worth of the mead into a cup, it was really sweet and tasted like pineapple, and it also had the alcoholic burn or tingle (only after 2 days???).
i think this could be due to the absurd amount of yeast i used, but im unsure, i dont know what else i can do exept wait, but i will update you guys
