I attempted to make up for my lack of membership before this session by drinking all of the beers on tap, but there are still some, like Pentameter, that I haven't had. I'll make another valiant effort at the next release. Hopefully it'll be warmer outside for peeing purposes.

Posting here and the ISO:FT. Looking for another bottle of Sporadic #2 (wine). I need more. Maybe a new member would be interested in Wild Turkey Betise or a Whiskey Presque. Hit me up.

Looks like Beer Temple has a bottle of Buckley out for tasting today. It isn't labeled but I will take anything to fuel speculation of Buckley in bottles. That beer is delicious. Anybody who hasn't tried it should absolutely head to Beer Temple to taste it.

Not speculation, definitely happening soon.

On a side note, Cuvier bottles are very good.

If there were jimmies rustled about people bringing guests to the last release, oh boy this next one should be interesting. Considering how fast the draft pours were gone last time I can only imagine how fast bottles will go. Hopefully he recognizes demand before the next release and has a firm plan in place.

When Buckley is released in bottles it will be a members allotted beer. That's not to say that there won't be extras for sale but members will definitely get first crack at bottles.

It'd be even better if all members were offered the extras for sale though rather than their guests. Also, I was thinking about folks that can't necessarily be there by 10AM or 11AM. They should get equal chance in my opinion when talking about a society membership. My guess is that it's a beer that he'll brew more of in the future but it is so good who wouldn't want a second bottle to tide them over.

Maybe selling extra bottles of Buckley at the renewal table as bonus for folks that prepay would be a nice way of keeping it fairly simple on both ends.

I was one of those late people last release who missed Buckley (and most of the tappings :() and have heard nothing but glowing praise for buckley; so I was bummed. Then I thought about this beer; it's been made 2 or 3 times already in the last few months (once in kegs at party and festivals, once for this upcoming release, and I believe a small test batch a few months ago that I know some people got to taste). It's not barrel aged. The ingredients aren't crazy scarce. It doesn't require much time to produce. So I don't see any reason why it couldn't be made over and over again with relative frequency. So that makes me feel better. I'm sure that if you miss the first, second, or third chance at Buckley there will be a 4th, 5th, 6th, etc down the road.

Who said Buckley will be members only? Maybe the BA version.

We should see bottles in stores really soon.

ohhh, this has its own thread. buckley was bottled sunday in 375's (my dirty paws were all over it, sorry if its infected) and is coming in no time to limited distribution, waiting on amazing labels to be printed. theres a bunch in barrels too but I wont spoil that as that its a reserve thing, but needless to say you'll probably getting two treatments of it as there's two different sets of barrels.

I have been pretty vocal that my one small disappointment in the Reserve Society is the focus on different barrel treatments of the same beer. It's a cool thing once or twice but my preference would be a greater variety of beers.

That said, I am so down for multiple Buckley treatments. I liked the beer on tap but felt the coffee resulted in a very heavy espresso-like bitterness. My group all agreed that mellowing that with time- preferably in some awesome barrels- would greatly help the beer.

When you say amazing labels being printed are you being sarcastic or are we going to be seeing the first non-generic Transient label?

And more importantly, the debut of smaller bottles!!!

I took a step back and was actually being serious. It was designed by the same dude that did his logo and some work for us. It features the 4 legged fella the beers named after.

Looks like a label from Where the Wild Things Are, which is awesome. Very cool and fun label.

Hot damn this Hop Drank is fantastic. Juicy and fruity but perfect carb and the right amount of Brett. Mosaic comes alive! I can't decide if I want more people to understand how great these beers are or if I just want to keep them all to myself.

Completely agree. Wayward and Hop Drank have been knockouts so far. Safe to say he has his hoppy farmhouse game down.

Wayward was totally fantastic as well. I will say that I'm feeling it after doming this Hop Drank, not to say the ABV is out of line. This Hop Drank is every bit as good as Dorothy in my opinion despite maybe being considered a double Dorothy.

Transient Society has absolutely been all I had hoped it would be. Can't wait til May 24th or 31st. I'm going to expand my game of opening a bottle and just running into people. This time I'll actually introduce myself.

I'm going to be sad when I can't dome a Hop Drank and Oaked Obelus Galaxy by myself without feeling that I left some folks out though.

I don't drink often but when I do I make it count.

domed wine barrel sporadic #1 and #2 on consecutive nights. they are similar beers and both are quite good, though i think i liked #2 better as i think it was a bit more crushable. i was kind of hoping for more brett character in both and maybe a little less acid, but these didn't tread on cascade/upland territory or anything like that so no fears. both beers reminded me a little bit of the bottle of tilquin squared i drank a few months ago, oddly enough.

Chilled and popped a Hop Drank myself today and holy ****, you are right. This is a lot better than the drafts I've had in the past. Wish I grabbed more than two at the party.

Opened a Sporadic #2 (wine) last night. Woof. All sulfur.
bummer. I'll sit on mine for a bit.

I did open an Oaked Obelus: Galaxy the other day. Wow that's a really good beer. I think it will only improve with age. I guess dumb luck really helped when I showed up late to the last release and the only extra bottles for sale were the Oaked Obelus: Galaxy forcing me to buy a few. :)
