JPP running his mouth now. Team has a loud mouth for being 9-7.

They're in the big game. That's all that matters. Like the Cards in the World Series, they got hot and the ball started bouncing their way at the right time.

The Niners will be back in the playoffs next year, but they will be more along the lines of the Seahawks of last season, by default.

You're pretty hung up on that 9-7 thing. I wonder if the 49'ers would agree to a 9-7 as long as they get that one important playoff win they couldn't get.

I'm sure they would. Doesn't change the fact that the Giants have been running their mouths for weeks.

Lol, 8-2 outside the division. Cards were 7-2 in their last 9. The NFC West was probably the second best division in the NFC next to the NFC South. It'll be even better next year.

Oh look, another soccer fan. The North ruled the NFC.

I take it you're a soccer fan? You obviously have no NFL knowledge.

On a funnier note, Jizzelle is sacred.

Dear lord, pweeze help my Tommy to bring home another Superbowl. And help my kitty to get well real soon. Amen.

That's what they do best, trust me I know. But 10 wins, i'll take it. I honestly think if the Saints had home field, they would be in the big dance this weekend.

Absolutely agree on the saints. But football should be played outdoors. They play like an arena team.

Except like the last 6 of course right? ;)

In other news, I FINALLY got the NFL Channel yesterday. Even with only 3 days left in the season it's such a friggin' relief. I can't wait till next year. Hopefully FiOs gets a games package soon too.

Didn't you just go to a Packer bar (or any bar broadcasting all) when not on local? I always vacillated on the price tag of NFL package vs bar viewing. Chose to stick with the latter. Heck I found a Packer bar in Cancun.

Then again you probably have to pay $12 for a beer :cross:.

There's only one Packer bar that I know of in the city. It's in Manhattan which is a ***** for me and turns into a whole ay project any time I go there. Plus, on their website there's a huge warning to show up early for any game day because they fill to capacity real quick.

Besides, say I went out every week to watch the game. The money spent, even if I drank BMC, would far exceed the cost of the package over the course of a year.

Missed out on getting on the office pool this year.

Now I REALLY have no reason to watch the game except for the food. Maybe I'll just tune in for the halftime show. From the looks of things that will be the best part.

Well some of those are over 200 miles from me, but yeah there's a few more than 1 near me on that list. It still costs more to watch every game at a bar than to pay for the package and enjoy them from my couch and on my 52" TV with homebrews and whatever I feel like cooking that day.:rockin:

Have you ever been to NYC? It takes me minimum 30 minutes to get to Manhattan, at least 10-15 more to find parking (if I don't give up and pay $20 for a lot), and the toll to get back on my crappy island is $5.75, with the resident discount. I don't leave home unless I really have to. Hopefully next year my location will say something else, but until then, I'm watching games from home.

I gotcha, but hey my divorce after 20+ years became final 2 weeks ago so my agenda may be a bit different! :fro:

So Belichick (59) and Coughlin (45 give or take 2 decades) are older than dirt. Anyone think one retires after the Super Bowl? AZ, are there odds out there on this?

This one is just quivering with anticipation for a Cape comeback.

Edit: And good one McBrewskie!! (I R an engineer by trade so over think ****; ie slow of surroundings while thinking of complex formulas to save the world :))

We got on the road last night... Driving. We just passed Punxatawney, PA. We've got about another 6.5 hours to go according to the GPS.

Tix paid for and waiting for us.
