So I was cleaning the basement and my package of Nottingham for tomorrow is inflated and soft. It says not to use it if it's like that. Should I use it or go back to the store and get a different package?

Toss it. No sense bothering with it if you can grab another pack. It's been compromised.

If you can get a new pack, then I would. But if you can't, I have used them like that before and not had an issue. It would be best to make a starter with it, but since you don't have that time, if ou do use it, make sure you rehydrate per the institutions and see if it acts like normal.

I always keep an extra pack of s-05 or whatever your favorite dry yeast is that way you can still brew and wait till a better time to go back to the store
