The Obelisk of Thutmose III was originally erected in Karnak after 1450 BC and then moved to Constantinople by the emperor Theodosius 1 in 390AD. It is amazing to realize that Theodosius moved the obelisk only 1634 years ago, less time between the present and now, than the 1830 years it stood in Karnak after Thutmose III erected it until it was moved.
