I guess I thought the PABST sign was the Brewhouse Inn...

The Inn is in the building with the boil kettles on 10th St. The Pabst sign itself spans W Juneau Ave from the old malting building (which is now being renovated as apartments) to Jackson’s Blue Ribbon pub (which unfortunately didn’t survive COVID).

It could be Scotland - but no doubt is actually Canada or somewhere - and two bridges at the end of a piece of water makes me think of the Tay bridges, so as a complete WAG the Tay near Dundee?

Looks like a damn big bridge, so I'll guess Big Dam Bridge,Two Rivers Park, on the Arkansas River at Little Rock.

Getting closer. In the United States for sure.

Not including these two bridges, there are six crossings for automobiles before the ocean.

This photo was taken facing upstream.

Two of those crossings between this spot and the ocean are not considered to be over this pictured body of water.

would i be close to ask, is it starts in canada then crosses into the USA? like the columbia, then?

edit: i'd think astoria, but the lack of pine trees, i think east coast?

From 1990, here's another river valley that may be more familiar to beer drinkers:

@bracconiere, I believe the answer would be "Yes, but. . " A frontier area back in the day, and, speaking of back in the day, I got D's in 10th grade Latin.
@dirkomatic, yes it is Heidelberg. Taken from the castle. You're up.

i thought dirk was right from wiki, but i couldn't find the name of the castle :( (i saw the two white towers visible from the other side hiding behind the tree)

looking at the flags. south carolina, or wyoming? some sorta sports complex. honestly, couldn't google a picture of either state's.

but i'd imagine this will be easy for experienced players.....

That be the Richmond Coliseum in the state of Virginia. Nice tie-in back to the Latin discussions if that was intended.

Was going to try and guess a date of the photo, but Virginia has flown the state flag at half-mast a dozen times this year alone, so no chance of that.

That's it. It was a nice coincidence that the Latin discussion happened and I might have worked that into a clue if necessary.

It was taken in June of 2017 from the VCU hospital. Honestly, I don't know why the flag wasn't at full mast. Kind of had other things going on :) and this photo was a slight diversion during some down time.

You're up @bruce_the_loon

Yeah... I really know this one. I'm a caver and know a bit about karst formations; my next photo will be a karst formation, I just don't have it on my phone. This one is pretty famous. I'll bow out and let someone else get it and get some of my pics in a row before I guess another.
