My hops seem to be productive!

Those are some nice looking cones in the top picture, do they smell like hops yet? I have quite a few large cones on my first year Magnums but they don't smell like hops to me.

So, here's an update; I started seeing what I believed to be aphids here and there, so I went to a local entomology store and bought some fresh lady bugs to take care of any current/future issues.
Waited till almost dark (as instructed), misted plants and sprinkled about 20 on each plant.
Next day; NO signs of any ladies! Anywhere. Are they that good at hiding?
I was told that since they were released at dusk/evening they shouldn't fly away, just eat, but...

any ideas?? Thanks
