I recently brewed a Belgian dubbel. I don't drink a lot of that style of beer but, it was something I wanted to do and I think it turned out pretty good. I took some with to a local mug club and everybody seemed to like it. I have received many compliments.
Here is the recipe I threw together...
10# Belgian pilsner malt
1# Belgian biscuit malt
1# Belgian cara 20
Mash @ 150 for 60min
1.5oz Saaz (3%) 60min
1.5oz Saaz (3%) 15min
1# amber Belgian candi syrup 45°L 10min
Wyeast 1214 Belgian Abbey yeast
