Apfelwein, still in primary (started 5 months ago...)

Pasteur Champagne yeast.

Been there for a couple months. I'm planning on racking to keg through a screen and forgetting about it, but does anyone recognize this guy? He's about the size of a quarter.

FWIW, I kegged this and it tasted pretty damn good. A slight sourness, but it complements the apple taste, which was unexpectedly prominent. Maybe I've stumbled upon something good?

I've decided more tasting is necessary before a conclusion can be made, perhaps 3-4 more glasses.
 
tHAT LOOKs like a kombucha scoby. Im not familar with apfelwien, but im a kombucha brewer and it looks like that symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast (scoby). Not shure but just a thought.
