Recently I brewed a Bavarian hefe extract kit beer. From reading a few discussions I decide to pitch a extra packet of yeast.my local brew store did not have the safale wb06 which came with the kit so I used a Munich wheat beer yeast to mix with. 11g of both and rehydrated before pitching. What are the possible disadvantages and advantages to mixing yeast?
Thanks

I think the only disadvantage would be the unknown of what actual flavor profile your going to actually get from using both...

When I brew a hefe I use the Munich classic and have purposely underpitched the packet into the 5 gallons. Did this on an extract and a partial mash to see what happened. Both fermented well and had a good balance of clove to banana.
