Going from bucket to carboy after 1 week. I figured i wouldnt need much cider to top of for less air space, so i grabbed some cold cider from fridge, no preservatives just flash pasturized. Thought i would only need cup, so temperature wouldnt matter.... well it took 1/2 gallon, then i also had to add a little water, because i was still short, i filled it to where bottle neck starts. I hope the cold cider doesnt screw everything up, i was pouring it on top of 4 1/2 gallon s of room temp cider, so idk, opinions please.

You will be fine. The temperature will equalize fairly quickly due to the small amount you are topping up with.

I'm not really one to ask. I've done secondary in a bucket with much more airspace.

I personally think you will be fine. I'm sure some think I'm completely wrong though!
