Yeah, it's also up to the quality control of the mobile canning service. I've heard similar accounts of differences between the tap and cans from the mobile units

I'm pretty sure I'll go to RAR but I'm not leaving crazy early to do so. The case limit seems high for the IPAs, but if I get shut out I'll just drink em on tap and go home. No biggie.

1) Don't get shot

2) Go to Max's all the time

(Jk I love B-more, and I'm from Pittsburgh. But seriously, go to Max's.)

I got a place in Hampden. Looks safe and hipstery. Stopped by the Belgian Beer Hall when I was visiting and was mildly impressed.

Artifact Coffee is right over there.

Woodberry Kitchen is close by as well. It's pricey, but its one of the best meals I've ever eaten, so definitely check it out for a special occasion really soon.

Anybody else go to Aslin yesterday? I drove by Aslin yesterday at 12:15pm, saw at least 100+ people in line, pulled car over for a minute so I could laugh in disbelief, then drove right to Ocelot to enjoy some beers and grab some bottles. People waiting in line for 2+ hours for a couple crowlers at Aslin supposedly?!?! **** that.

Haha! Thought about it. Went to the pool and drank Berliners instead. Had a great day. I wonder when the first ********* got in line...

So that's just like a team sends a bunch of beer and swag and gets a bunch back?

Everybody plans what to send your group target, then gets together for a packing (read: drinking) party. Then you receive multiple boxes from your sender and get together for the Gang Bang. Always a good time with amazing food, drinks and shenanigans. A Talkbeer bucket list item fo sho!

Well I'm moving to B-more tomorrow and looking to meet with people who like to drink. So I'm down.

I'm going to be down in Baltimore on Friday for the umphreys Mcgee concert. Likely getting down early afternoon. If anyone wants to meet up for a beer before/during/after show hit me up. Would love to meet some new faces. Cheers all!

Anything going on this weekend? I'm bored as hell and I haven't made any friends outside of work and I don't want work people to see how much I drink.

If any of you guys have ever taken the trip down Ashlin, could you tell me what the scene's like? If I show up at 4-6 on a Saturday will it take forever to get a seat or fill a crowler?

Are you referencing Aslin in Herndon, VA? If so, chances of getting crowlers at 4-6 on Saturday are likely zilch, but you should have no problem getting in and having the beers that were released that day on tap. I went last Saturday - Double Orange Starfish release and arrived at 11:30. Crowlers were long gone and I waited about 20 minutes to get in. A shitshow until about 1, but then died down and much more relaxed. Great beers for the area!

Yep, the one in VA. I keep hearing good things about their beer, but don't feel like driving an hour each way unless I got a decent chance of getting some take-home brews.

I guess the length of time crowlers are available depends on the specific release. It seems like they lasted into the early afternoon yesterday, but is was not one of their more popular releases. They are really good at updating their FB page.

The drive is about 45 minutes for me as well, but I usually hit up Beltway Brewing for some Grimm and Ocelot after as well. All 3 are fairly close to each other.

Man, this MD thread is weak.

Anyone doing RARtoons on 9/10?
Not me, too far of a drive.

In other MD news, I tried Manor Hill's Hidden Hopyard Volume 4 and thought it was just okay. Anyone have any opinions on their 'Taylor's Row'? Saw 4 packs sitting out at Downtown Crown but scooped up Weyerbacher's 21st Anniversary BBA Stout instead. It's kinda meh.

Haven't tried their Hidden Hopyard. Is it canned/distro'd?

Manor Hill's Kolsch has been a new go-to beer for me. Very solid. Would recommend picking up a sixer if you haven't tried it.

Does RAR sell cans to go? Or is that like a release thing only. I'm heading to OC this weekend, and might stop by on sunday on my way back.
