Heya everyone, just wanted to drop by and say hello. I've been lurking for awhile. Registered back a few years ago but was doing extracts and never really got big into brewing. Then I got into all grain brewing and now I've developed a love for it.
I'm from Reno, NV and for awhile lived in Portland (maybe a year). Had a lot of fun hitting up breweries up there, and Reno's slowly getting their own, but you can't beat being able to brew anything you want!
My setup is a 10gallon mashtun, 13gallon aluminum boil kettle (though I'd like to upgrade to SS with measurement marks and a spigot). I've got the goofiest looking immersion coil as I failed to make it look good when I coiled it (I'll take a photo of it, for now it works, someday I may build a new one, and maybe recycle the metal...).
Currently I'm brewing a belgian-style strong dark ale that I'll be adding some homemade candi syrup to tonight, and I've got another beer, an ale using munich and caramel malts, along with some brown sugar and primed with maple syrup:
Needs another 1-2 weeks, but at day 17 it's pretty good.
Hope to keep brewing with you all!
