I've found myself constantly coming to this site for ideas or help so I've decided to just make an account and try to be part of the community. I've enjoyed making mead so far, definitely not a fan of the price of honey but it is what it is. I used to make a bunch of mead years ago but fell off due to work. Now that I've moved to a new state and the tempo of work has slowed considerably I'm getting back into it. I've decided to just try stuff this time around rather than following strict recipes. It's definitely more fun this way but I may have just bitten myself in the butt.

Welcome to the forum from a Texas brewer (beer mostly). I've only brewed 2- 5 gallon batches of mead so don't listen to me about mead . There are lots of mead guys on here that can help.

I'm a beekeeper, did you ever think of doing that?. Goes hand in hand with mead. Plus bees are in a failing state (varroa mites etc.), they need our help.
