I had been using a Love temp controller to regulate the temps in my chest freezer. Problem was it was a scary looking mess with a scavenged extension cord and wire nuts hanging out all over the place.

So I decided to make something a little neater. I took apart the front of my chest freezer with the intention of just replacing the stock thermostat, but I decided to keep my temp controller mobile and built an enclosure for it.

So now the switch turns the whole thing on and off. If the switch is off, both the Love controller and the outlet are dead. If the switch is on, the Love controller drives the outlet based on the temperature settings.

And in case anyone wants it, here's how I wired it. Note the power supply goes to pin 11, not pin 10. If you were to put the power on 10, then 9 would be hot all the time. Not really a big deal, but better safe than on fire.

Feel free to hit me with questions or comments. Enjoy,
