Awesome! Are you using a post hole digger? Sorry to hear.
A combination of post hole digger, powered auger, and a reciprocating saw (for roots). That powered auger is great in the loose soil, but when it hits a root it twists like a mutha.

Three generations going out for 9 this afternoon at the pitch & putt. Father in law, me, and my son...
The last [and only other] time I played with my FIL, he chunked a ball around 10 holes in and felt his arm feel wrong after digging the clubhead into the ground. He had to quit after the 12th from the arm pain, and he ended up with bruises from tennis elbow that made @passedpawn 's image from a couple pages back look like nothing... His entire forearm was basically black.
Hope today goes smoother for him lol...
This really is what's been keeping me from playing lately. Seems like my back hurts for 3 or 4 days after playing. I haven't played in a couple weeks and my back feels pretty good overall. I'm not sure what to do, if I need to swing a lot easier or something needs to change in my swing.Back finally feels better, so I went out today. I came pretty close on the same hole I aced last week. It was rolling right at it and I thought... why not?

US Open today, fellas. Looks like you can stream it online, like the Masters. I wish they'd do that for every tournament for those of us who don't have the golf channel.
I don't know why it hurts mine so much - the twisting and turning, the torque - probably.Funny, golf does not affect my back at all. Dark clouds above, but I might try to get a late round in. Haven't played since Monday![]()
Oh, that looks good. We just arrived in your neck of the woods yesterday to visit grandkids. Son-in-law is out of town with his Dad and twin bros. on a Father's Day golf weekend, but he left me a six pack of Jai Alai in the fridge. They all get back tomorrow, and then we're all headed to Hilton Head to join up with my son and family for a beach rental.Just got off the course. 2nd round this week. Playing again Sunday haha.
Just got home to a homebrew Cigarbox IPA (simcoe hops, with staves of spanish cedar added to the fermentor). Nom nom if you like the wood-aged beers. Cigar City used to make a similar version of the Jai Lai, infused with spanish cedar spirals. Man I like that flavor.

They offer it as a seasonal between September and December now. Yours looks very tasty!

I found it locally the first week of October last year. Unfortunately I only ever saw the one 4-pack.When did you get that? I haven't seen it in a while.
He seemed genuinely humbled at being the first Spaniard to win the U.S. Open, a feat that Seve had long sought but never achieved. A good tournament and a fine champion on one of the grandest "munies" in the world. O.K., Bethpage might be as nice, but you'd have to put up with New Yorkers. After having to withdraw from The Memorial with a 6-stroke lead after Saturday, I'm glad Rahm was able to win this one. I'm sure it was a better trade to have a major anyway ;-)
I haven't bought a ball in a long time. I find more than I need.
The dreck and detritus I pick up on the course goes right into my son's bag.
If I find a quality ball on the course I might hang on to it.
They look OK to me. At least, they are fine for my level of play. I especially like the colorful ones![]()
What do you guys do for golf balls?
I gotta say I'm a Kirkland guy. TXG did a test against the ProV1 and found the Kirkland had more spin and was generally a great ball, all for just barely over $1 each...
I don't find myself rolling off the back of greens much... The ball hits and sticks.
Passedpawn has no comment on Jon Rahm's victory.... Personally I think it's great. I was hoping Louis would pull through, but not to be. That last tee shot hosed him. Pretty exciting finish though with that leaderboard the way it was on the last day. It was anyone's tourney. Very cool.
Personally, I think ProV1's are great, but unless you're scratch or better golfer, I think you should save your cash and get something a little more affordable. Those suckers are crazy expensive. You're not going to notice a difference. You might think you do, but you won't. Not if you're not that great of a golfer. A lot of prima donnas out there... I was probably one at one time in my youth.
I'm not too picky, I like Srixon or Precept. Certainly not going to play cheap shag balls, top flite, etc. Not going to play orange or yellow balls, those, back in the day were ***** balls that only top flite or the cheaper ball companies put out. For me, there's a stigma around that. Just seems lame and cheap and hacker-esque.
