I want to try a beer with some pretty heavy lemon taste. when brewing the blue moon I add .5 oz of McCormick valencia orange zest at 5 mins.....Would the same addition of lemon in a pale ale work or should I bump it up? I have added the lemon to Cream of Three Crops and the beer is tasty but no lemon taste at all.would one oz be over kill?

I've seen some of the guys on the Cooper's site in Australia add sliced lemons to the fermenter. Maybe 4-6 whole lemons. Another guy even adds sliced fresh ginger & spices with that.

Wow! 4-6 lemons?? lol that seams like a lot!
Anyway...I've came up with a recipe for an American Wheat that has lemon and ginger in it. My recipe only uses about 3/4 oz of fresh lemon peel, and I that works great. 1 oz might be too much....but that could just be your taste!
