Howdy folks-
After a long, long hiatus from brewing (and formulating my own recipes), I'm fixin on trying my hand again. Can y'all take a look and see how this looks?

3 Gallon Batch (cuz that's what I like to brew on)

1lb Light LME (60Min)
5lb Light LME (10Min)

1oz. Mosaic (60Min)
1oz. Mosiac (Whirlpool)
1oz. Amarillo (Whirlpool)
1oz. Mosaic (Dry Hop)
10z. Amarillo (Dry Hop)

S-05 Yeast

Since the last time I proper brewed, late extract additions and large whirlpool hop volumes weren't really 'hip'. I'm looking for an IPA with decent alcohol and a good aroma.

Beersmith says my numbers are all in line with American IPA style, but are my hop amounts adequate? Should I steep some crystal or other malt?

thanks!

I'm not sure what the AA rating on your mosaic is, but if you're going for the less bitter approach (like a NEIPA, which is what I think of when talking whirlpool hops), than 1 oz at 60 mins might be a bit much for a 3 gallon batch.

I like at least a little carapils in my IPAs. For the NEIPA's I've been brewing, I've been using between 1.8 and 2.2 oz per gallon on the hops.
