LOL at the socials being full of clueless ******s complaining about Etre being 'sold out' (they mean of 3F stuff they think they can trade) while being completely oblivious that the real news is Honing A&G.

I have a friend in London who's moving to NY in a month, so I got on this morning, grabbed the Hommage and one other bottle and shipped them to her to put in her shipping container, since 8 euro shipping is worth just getting it out of Etre and into my hands sooner than waiting to fill a box.

Now I regret not waiting to fill a box since I didn't grab any Honing A&G. I'm stupid AND sad.

Same. Love the 375s A&Gs though. Excited to try this blend. This also gave me an excuse to pickup the boon box.

I'll be swinging by Akkurat in a few weeks, but I'm not too familiar with limited edition goozies or older lambic vintages in general. Any tips from the experts? Already know to seek out Soleil de Minuit and Bokkereyder if they have it. Also saw somebody mention Hanssens 1998 in an older thread. I get the feeling I'm going to have to spend a few hours with that menu...

(Any chance they carry Zwanze vintages, or is that only a Cantillon brewery thing? Last time I was at Cantillon I didn't know a thing about beer and didn't even try a single bottle from their reserve list... )

Dont recall them having any Zwanze vintages on the menu. Early 2000s 3F, Cantillon and Girardin gueuze are all excellent. They had the Armand'4 seasons on the menu for about 1200SEK if youre willing to drop the cash. Their menu was really out of date when I was there (end of August) so its probably best to mention a backup in case theyre out of what you first order. Only Bokkereyder available for us was Zommersaison (which was fantastic) so dont get your hopes too high to try a ton of Bokkereyder while there.

Its a good time regardless of what you drink. Friendly staff, great location and good vibes. Lots of people were there for dinner so prepare for it to be packed as well.

Really, it'll be great to try anything out of the ordinary, Bokkereyder or no.

My hot tip for Akkurat is that there's a 90's Hanssens 375 on the menu for like $15 (when I was there and I forget the exchange rate). It's one of the better beers I had there and so cheap for Sweden. buzzword can vouch for it too. Otherwise just go for things that sound fun.

Well lmk if you want to come to a tasting or do any trades or anything! Might be help with the Alvarado cans, but it depends on what you're looking for. (If you end up going down to Sante, Aptos BBQ actually tends to have most of the recent releases available to go, it can be more reliable than up here where stuff tends to sell out.)

Like blue cheese and cloudberry compote on a nice cracker. Its interesting seeing the very polar reviews on soleil. I love that beer so damn much.

I always wish I have more of it than I already do every time I open one. I prefer batch one right now, but batch two has huge potential.

Yeah, building up a decent social media following using copious amounts hashtags so we can put our name to good use for things like BfNA is just turrible. Also, Instagram maxes out at 30 hashtags sooo yeah.
