I got a pair of fresh iris bottles in the mail yesterday. Both of which leaked in transit as evident by the smell and sticky labels. It kinda got me excited because last time I opened a leaky loon I enjoyed it moreso than its non-leaky counterpart.

Which then got me thinking... I know some "on-site" only loons sometimes leave the premises and appear in trade threads. What are the chances some iris grand cru might end up in the wild as well? I need that stuff in my life again.
gn0sis and I drank a leaky '14 RdG last Saturday and there was definitely a certain 'extra funk' type quality to the bottle which everyone seemed to enjoy. I have had bad luck with 3F Golden Blends with the same evidence of leaking though, so I consider it a coin flip.

I was 14/22 in 2015 for cantillon krieks leaking in shipment.

One tasted like straight balsamic and the others like straight awesome.

Not sure where I'm going with this other than.... with lambic it's ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ , as you well know :)

Any thoughts on the 2016 batch of 3F OG on Etre? I don't think I've seen feedback here about it yet so wanted to check before making an order....

Such a let down the first few times I had this (2013). Enough band aid and diaper to stock a children's hospital....

But I can definitely say that the new batch (2015) is a banger. Dat distinct Drie funk with just enough jammy raspberries to arouse the pleasure zones without turning the barnyard into a berry farm.

This was my third time having this batch and I swear it keeps getting better every time. It helps that my meal and company were both amazing but I'm convinced even those confined to their parent's dark, damp basement could enjoy this one.

Jah bless, one love, forever ISO.

St Louis Fond Tradition Geuze - Am I gonna get stoned for talking about this here? Cuz, ya know....lambic but not "lambic."

Pretty simplistic tasting but it got all the right elements. Its like...lambic light. Would drink this by the gallon while doing yardwork if it was cheap but I think I paid like $9 for the 375ml and considering boon was the same price, id go boon all day everyday over this.
