Suuuuuucks. I've only ever had one corked loon but it was so bad. At least now I know what TCA tastes like...

I tried the plastic wrap trick on a corked bottle of wine recently and it actually worked. I wish I had thought of this earlier tonight....may have been able to rescue it.
 
Trichloroanisole. It's what taints corked wines. It originates from infected corks. Fungus creates the precursors and the yeast and bacteria finish the job. Are you worried about your $500 loon being corked? How about a $35,000 first growth?
 
I'm enjoying a Sunday morning Cuvee Renee Kriek (thanks SeaWatchman ). I really love this beer. It's got a nice funky nose and sharp bite on it. I hope this becomes a production beer for Lindemans.

It is. We just don't get distro in NC for some stupid reason. Hence why I go to SC to buy them. But apparently we will starting next month?

Nice tasting yesterday with islandboi8204 Fahmie25 caseyk . Sooo complex, layers of aromas and flavors--for sure the sherry is present, also picked up some nutty aromas. Decanted for about 45 minutes. So glad to finally try this one--need moaaaar
