FINALLY! We can stop listening to SeaWatchman bitch about American Lambic. Thanks to the guys at SpontanAir, it appears that Lambic can be brewed worldwide!

In reading the individual beer pages, i had no idea some of these yeast characteristics. I'll updated L.I. shortly.

I was tempted to post "Etre has a bunch of bottles of LPF, Vig, St. Lam, and Fou up right now", but then I figured I'd be responsible for the death of the dude who swerved his Scion into the other lane while he was hastily trying to order from his phone....

...some April Fool's jokes are just too risky.

You misspelled Tercel.

I'm still getting a kick out of that Spontanair site. Did Raf make that whole thing? Edit: Whoever that was rules-pretty serious April Fools day effort.

I can't wait to smoke mine.

I originally came up with the idea, and Rich did the hard work to make it look so good. We all contributed to the content. Raf ran around and got the pics. It was a team effort, though Rich logged by far the most hours into it.

Glad it came together and that you all enjoyed it!

Have not seen the Kriek nor Special Blend in CT or MA yet, can't recall having heard about anyone finding any here either. Hope it does show up.

Putnam Plaza in Glastonbury got the kriek. I grabbed two bottles when it first dropped about a month ago, and when I went back two weeks later they still had plenty.

I had no idea Rich was behind this. He is a really nice guy. My wife and I met Rich at Grote Dorst on our honeymoon. He offered to take us to lunch and we proceeded to spend 4 or 5 hours drinking awesome beer together at De Heeren. I will never forget the portion of my honeymoon I spent in Belgium hanging out with Rich. I owe that man a few beers!

The sad/awesome thing about that website was that it had a 10x better layout/design than almost every craft brewery website out there. I enjoyed thoroughly.

Hey Thanks!

But can the spontanair shirts actually be purchased?

Yeah Josh, those shirts are real!

When able I will. All I can recall was BB 2033 and the other numbers were rubbed off but they should be readable on the other bottles.

12/13, maybe? 11/12's litter the shelves around here, alongside old Cuvee Rene. Pretty much the only geuze available, save for the odd bottle of Hanssens OG or Oud Beersel OG Vieille, though I sometimes think those are just holdovers from long ago shipments (the last Oud Beersel I had was definitely a 2012 bottling).

Regardless, this all reminds me it's high time I snag a couple bottles of Boon:)

When does 3F usually sells Schaerbeekse?

It got released for the first time since 2011 in late 2015/early 2016 (can't remember the exact date), but it used to be a yearly release before that. No telling when the next one will be, but there might be some released in September during Open Beer Days.

I had a trip to Brussels planned in May but am on the fence at this point. I wasn't just going for beer but it would have been a big part of the trip.

If going to Europe is it worth taking US bottles to trade for iambic? I understand that finding or buying bottles isn't as easy as it once was and I am wondering if trading would be reasonable. Anyone have thoughts or suggestions on this?

What lambic and what are you trading? If it is part of the rash of trade posts that read ISO: seasons, 50n, Blabaer, one of Cantillons etc FT: shelf ipas I would say no:)
Otherwise sure. Plenty of people who are reasonable and love trading. There are a bunch of people who do not like lambic but get it to trade for ba stouts, I think these people are insane, but that is beside the point;) You should be able to setup some trades for seasonal lambics for similar wild ales, stouts, ipas without much of a problem.

Good luck!
