OGV 2010, 375ml. Cooking apples, meadow grass and perfect carbonation. Unbelievably easy to drink, too - reminds me of scrumpy and the old-school farmhouse ciders you get in the south west of England. I could do another right now...

X-post with DDT. Bottle date LS140R14. Heavy lemon and hay aromas. Not a ton of depth to the flavor profile, again lemon, grass/hay and some light funk. Not overly sour. Straight from cellar temp to glass, was a pretty heavy gusher. Thanks to Pneill316.
I once had a bottle that did not gush. I am 1 for 20+ in that regard.

Still love the stuff and buy at every opportunity.

Saw it but 42€? No thanks.

What is the general retail price on Framboos? 42 Euros works out to be ~46 USD. Plus shipping... it winds up being >$50 bottle.

Over in the US, we don't generally see this stuff on the shelves. For reference, Tilquin gueuze 750 is probaly $22 when I see it. Quetsche $28.

Only place I've ever seen it in the wild, if this even counts, is at a bar in Charleston (Edmund's Oast) for $100.

I went ahead and pulled the trigger since I'll be buying a handful of 3F OG bottles from Etre here and there anyway.

Assuming framboos was around $40 on shelves in the states last time around....I could be off. I just bought a bunch of green label too so shipping won't be too bad on a per bottle basis.

It's not on shelves here either. But I went to the brewery to get my allotment and I think it was about 20€? And that was already more or less the limit of what I was willing to pay.

I want to say the places I saw Framboos in Belgium for onsite had it for around 40€ in August 2015. Getting it for that price online seemed pretty reasonable to me. I think it was in the $40 range in the US when it was available but I never saw any in central PA.

Favorite thing about this beer is how it just sits on my shops shelves.

**** it. I'm a lambic scrub and I can admit it. If any of you want to lend a helping hand to me I would appreciate it. First, I want to say hello to everyone. I'm working my way through this giant thread from the beginning just to learn. I'm here to do so and enjoy drinking the lambic I have had so far tremendously. It essentially a story in every bottle to me unlike any other beers I have consumed including AWAs. I'm reading wildBREWS right now and am in love with it and it is helping me really understand subtle things including the history.

My two favorite lambic experiences so far include a Fou at 09 vintage. It was super fruity and tart. I just got my first bottle and noticed most are recommending to drink it sooner than later. I will do so and provide some notes probably this weekend. And a 3F OG vintage from 13 was obsolete my subliminal.

Drinking one of my "oldest bottles" now and it's a little disappointing. A 2011 3F Golden Blend. The smell seems spot on to what I have
read and experienced in the past. It is that distinct earthy tart funk with unripe fruit I get from most 3F The taste just seems muted. Some tartness but more sweetness. Actually as it warms and open ups I'm enjoying each sip a little more. At first taste got a slight metallic taste, which I have never experienced. Could talk more about it but not necessarily the point.

I guess one question is when you experts taste what do you look for to know a bottle may have not been stored correctly or taken care of well.

Couple things other things. Took the cage off and loud pop. Not a gusher but surprised it was not. Abnormal or not? Does it necessarily mean improper storage? Couple notes about storage.. My storage for it was not ideal but at this time it has to be and I'm working on it. Was In a legit basement since I purchased it when I lived at home but after buying my own place is been in a cabinet away from light with some temp changes but nothing over 70 degrees.

I guess I'm saying too much now. I know there's a question or two above and the post is a mess but back to the college game until a response.

Thanks in advance. Looking forward to some future conversations and knowledge being instilled in me.
