Yet it's a pain the ass trying to get more than a bottle of Marshal Zhukov here today. ******* Florida, indeed.

Saw a buddy get two at Total Wine. IDK where but definitely Miami area. Now send me a 750 for the pro tip ;)

I got a Zhukov at Total Wine in Miami this morning, but it was $17 for the 22 oz and a 1 per person limit. Then I came to the realization that just two years ago I was buying it for $12 for a 750ml and that I don't even care much about stouts anymore.

Other than a 4 pack of BCBS each year I'm not aging them any more. I want the funk. I have bought or traded for more lambic in the last year than I had previously combined

This is how i am. I still love stouts (dbh is still my favorite beer ever) but i got over them pretty quick. Traded just about all my stouts for lambic over the past year.

if you have too much beer, stouts are your enemy since they age a little bit but usually are best fresh (like most beer). lambic is the way to go if you might not get to the bottle for several yrs.

The evolution of Lindemans Cuvée René. Batch 1 (1994), April 2014, Special Blend.

Can't wait to put a tasting together this fall with them all!

I have a suggestion regarding the date :D

If anyone's interested in talking about a way to split that Lambic 2.0 pack on BiaB, message me...I'm interested in a lot of the stuff in it but can't afford the whole pack, would be happy to buy a mix of some of the shelf stuff and some of the more special stuff if someone else wanted to do the same.

How does Tilquin Gueuze age? I have a 2011-2012. Does it change much in that short of time?

3+ years ago, we could just roll up to Etre or similar sites and get a box full of Cantillon St Lam, Lou Pepe, etc.. Nowadays, I'm lucky if I see any Classic 375s available. It's super slim pickings for us filthy casuals.

It's good to see the same old guys are able to find the rare and aged lambics though.

K?

I was just reading the thread and agreeing. I'm jelly and in awe of everyone's skills of acquiring lambics these days because I know it's a lot harder than it used to be. The last time I was able to drink the sweet nectar of St Lam or Vig was over three years ago and I've been checking bib and etre for the last few years now with no luck. At least I've been able to get some De Cam goodness...

I like your site a lot too, keep slaying them whales! :)

Had my first cantillon kriek last night and at 14 months found it to be very "medicine"-y.

Is that a bottle thing, or is it best to drink this fresh or with a few years of age. I've been lucky to share a couple LPK bottles with a friend that are much older and I preferred the cherry profile there.

Curious what other people's experiences are. Thanks!
