Trappist world was 160 for framboos.....

I know of no other site other than the big 2 and Trappist world

Does anyone know what year is on the label/corks of the new vignerone (that was flat and they're currently releasing)?

Do more homework. I've basically abandoned être all together, my fingers are not fast enough. Made me search for hidden spots found deep within google searches where few people dwell.

Though I still have the monumental task of actually receiving the bottle, as there has been some unpleasantness with this site in the past.

Of course its the one day I forget to check that site.

News from Belgium in a Box:
----------------------------------------
Subject: Required alternative shipping address for US West Coast customers

Dear US West Coast customers,

Customer satisfaction and happiness has and always will be Belgiuminabox’ top priority.

It has risen to our attention that lately more and more shipments are seized to the US West Coast and being resent by customs service at LAX.

While we are searching for a solution, we can not offer our service at the level the Belgiuminabox customer is accustomed to. Therefore we will temporarily not sent any boxes to customers located on the US West Coast.

This Monday, a new Belgiuminabox.com newsletter will go out. We sent you this writing to let you know about the current West Coast issue at hand.

Currently, the only option for US West Coast customers is to use an alternative shipping address (friend, family or business on the East Coast, the North East, the Mid West or the South).

The temporally disabled states are: Arizona, California, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah and Washington.

Belgiuminabox.com regrets these developments in the shipping process greatly. Though we assume that many customers will understand why we made the decision to disable the affected states as delivery address.

We will keep you up to date as soon as we have more news at our disposal. In case you have any info or feedback regarding this subject, feel free to let us know.

They didn't say you can't order. Just that they wont ship it. And that's not all that different from any other day at biab.

If someone wants to ship through me, let me know. I am located in NOLA.

You guys are seriously chasing the dragon if you are willing to pay domestic shipping on top of international shipping just to get lambic. Sending a maxed out BiaB order domestically has got to be insanely expensive. Drink the beers you have.

Paying international and then full domestic shipping on a full BiaB box would make lambic 750s cost, what, the same as Bruery or Goose Island sours do domestically? Or less than Cantillon costs domestically. Or that would bring De Cam beers up to a little over half what they cost on shelf in the U.S.

Yeah, adding domestic shipping is only like $4/bottle, it's hardly breaking the bank.

I can't imagine that's how the pricing works out on the back end given what some of BiaB's prices are, but if that's what it is I still think it's pretty ridiculous.

More like $3/bottle from here to west coast on large boxes. Which sucks to pay for 15-16 bottles at once obviously but having your Cantillon 750 go from $18 to $21 doesn't really change whether the price is worth it for getting the best beverage in the entire world, it just changes exactly how many you can afford haha.

I don't think I've yet paid more than $20 after shipping for a 75cl of Cantillon gueuze from either BiaB or Etre. Add $3 domestic to that and it's still cheaper oz for oz than most of the American wilds that are shelf accessible. And a lot better.

Another point is the Euro is so low right now that ordering a box and paying an extra domestic shipping cost is still cheaper than ordering a box a year or two ago when the € was like 40% higher against the dollar.

ridiculous yes... ridiculous compared to the alternative ridiculousness of paying AWA prices for a substandard product? not quite as bad.

I mean i can get uplands for $25 and Bruery for $20-22 all day... or i can mess with shipping/customs risk and get Cantillon for $stillinthesameballpark.

Now, if a local joint was making decent futurerustics for $8-10/ 750 or had good stuff on tap, that changes everything... just not the case here, even the rivertown has dried up around these parts.

EDIT: all that being said, i drink the **** out of Cuvee Rene because of the above logics

Sadly Cuvée Rene is rarely available in 750s here and when it is it's a few bottles for $13 each, so almost $15 with tax, which is only like $1-2 less than ordering 3F 750s.
