So i'm searching for a Brabantiea... mostly because it's as old as i am ('89) and a sweet bottle... anyone seen one kicking around lately? anyone drank one lately? was it good/worth it or old and spent?

also, would it be decidedly easier to get something like a regular geuze from cantillon around '89, or are they both so hard it doesn't matter?
We had one in our tasting group about 3ish months ago that Sean9689 found and was fantastic. Label was terrible and lots of floaties but was a gusher with great funkyness. I found a guy w a few that was looking to trade one for a Roze awhile back if you want me to help point you in his direction (he is on the "other" site).

This is also great! Juicy with a tropical fruity funk, a peppery thing that kinda cut the sweetness and a grapefruit juice and bitterness with more funk on the finish. So dope. Glad I have lots more.

....I couldn't wait to proper glassware it

i was not that into this

Balls. missed it. Been after a proper lambic basket for years.

Does anyone have a picture of what these branded ones look like?

Apparently they have several colors of the basket as well. I believe the photos on the website yesterday were a dark greyish color. They had 750 and 375ml sizes as well. Very interesting. Looking at what pictures I've seen, they appear very sturdy.

I actually have a basket supposedly arriving today. I'll take some pics+test it out and report back.

I've had a couple bottles of Brabantiea, and it is super dependent on the cork quality / degradation.

The one that Oreo got from Forgetfu a few years back was the far superior bottle to one I had more recently.

And if you are looking for beers as old or older than yourself definitely track down a Thomas Hardy's or 5.

Not if you got the end of the bottle...sick 4 dayz

I have a wicker basket in transit to my house. Has the handle on the back of the basket instead of on top. Looking forward to using it

LD04NGC
L is for lindemans
D is month a=1 d=4 4= april
04 bottling day of the month
N is year A=1 N=14
GC is grand cru

I think

If anything I'd say GC is "Gueuze Cuvee" in this instance.

Mine are LA22NGC, so...

Lindmemans, January 22, 14, Gueuze Cuvee.

Going to email Lindemans for some clarification.

Wicker baskets are not very sturdy in my experience. Source: I own one and it's falling apart. Used it maybe 3-4 times.
Are the Cantillon baskets not wicker? They're not listed on their website anymore.

Maybe I'm just lucky but my wicker basket has held up fine though I'm pretty careful when handling it.

Pretty sure this is correct based on some additional digging. Especially since there's no way your bottle could have been filled in 2022

On a side and pages back note, my Etre order arrived safe and sound. I've never seen a single bottle shipment wrapped as well as this one was. Props to Etre.
