If anything I'd say GC is "Gueuze Cuvee" in this instance.

Mine are LA22NGC, so...

Lindmemans, January 22, 14, Gueuze Cuvee.

Going to email Lindemans for some clarification.
could absolutey mean gueuze cuvee, it does say grand cru on the label. but who knows when it comes to lindemans. I saw a thread on rate beer while looking into this where someone emailed lindemans in march 2012 becuase the bottling date said august 2012 and they were looking for clarification. the person told them august 2012 was the bottling date.

Do you happen to have a link to this thread? Are you sure it wasn't just American vs. European dating confusion? I guess that's unlikely given the Lindemans bottle dating format, but still, I've found the people over at Lindemans to be excellent when it comes to customer queries, so it's somewhat surprising to me that they would make that kind of mistake.

Oh I have other bottles of Cuvee Rene that blatantly have a month written out in letters followed by a year. I just have no idea the consistency or timeframe of when and how they label things a certain way.

deeblo.

Overall it's very well crafted and sturdy. I was able to hold the basket with full Lou Pepe Kriek bottle one handed, and nothing shifted, gave way, or felt flimsy.

Do you actually use the handle, or just squeeze around the bottle? I have one with an overhead handle, but just curious.
Personally I would use my left hand to stabilize the front underneath, and right hand on the handle when pouring out sediment-heavy beers for decanting. Other than that, I'll probably just hold the handle.

Man, I just don't get why people like Mariage Parfait. Easily the worst available shelf geuze I can think of for my palate.

Different strokes I guess. I love the mineral aspect of MP... like I'm licking a limestone floor. But I'm just weird like that (or maybe my diet is just minerally deprived).o_O

i've liked some years much better than others... the '10 that just came around seems much better on average than the '09 that we had hanging around, anyway...

I like minerally gueze, and I would not say I consider MP to be one. But yeah, different strokes.

Fair. '08 was undrinkable for me, only unsweetened lambic I've ever drain poured. '09 was bad, but I finished it. '10 is like, ok - I'm drinking it right now, but man, I'd MUCH rather drink Cuvee Renee or even St. Louis geuze.

Yeah I like MP and Cuvee Rene for different reasons, like them both though.

Can we all agree to stop talking about cuvée Rene? Or better yet, bash lindemans mercilessly?

The day that $10/750 gueze dries up I will cry long and hard.

Lindemans sucks who would ever want to drink that sweetened swill
