Strictly seeking straight up geuze, nothing else. Are you aware of 50-100+ OG 750ml bottles I can currently round up in a particular sector of mass? Preferably 10+ bottles per location as necessary. Drop me a message if so.
There isn't that much OG 750s, but as others have said, it sounds like you would just clean an area out, leaving none for those who buy a little at a time. I think multiple Belgian orders is you best bet. What you save on gas you can put into more bottles

I mentioned the price hike on the 3F Oude Kriek a few days back, and after talking to several Craft beer buyers for stores it seems like 3F line up is going up across the board. I also confirmed it myself when I went to a store that I know had 2012 bottles on the shelf for $19.99, they had 6 (all 2012) so I grabbed em all to get the 10% discount, and they rung up at $24.99 each. Since they were on the shelf at $19.99 they were sold to me at that price with the 10% discount, but I was told by the clerk that the case in back would hit the shelf at $24.99. so brace yourselves people, I can only imaging what scharb kriek will go up to...

I actually turned down buying shelf Cantillon the other week. OL Bar in Walnut Creek had 375s of kriek for $22 and a 750 of Mamouche for $75. Yikes.

And those very same beers have been on the shelves since (at least) the week before Christmas.

All this talk about pilfering 3F of all its beer got me thirsty. Bottled 1/18/13. Reports of Armand's blends being slightly sweeter may be true, but not in a bad way. It still retains that dry 3F funk that it's known for.

After seeing a couple of your lambic drinking photos I can't help but picture this white, window-less room completely empty but for a small table against the wall for drinking gueuze in solitude.

Assuming my box makes it past customs, I will be the proud owner of one of these Belle Vue Gueuze's. It has a best by 1989. Are any of you kind folks familiar with this old of a gueuze? I plan to open it with some friends that have similar interests in Lambics. I am receiving this from my trade partner in the Netherlands. He says the bottles were found in the basement of a farm in Belgium by his friend. So, who knows how the "cellering" went...
It should be a fun experience...

SRS bro,

Do we have the same trade partners?
Or are we stalking each other?

I want one of these. Anybody in southeast MI have one they want to give me?

Or does anybody know what they trade for? I suppose this may belong in the Breweriana section, but I know we have some lambic freaks in here that might be of help.

I have a gray/blue 1L pitcher. It is not for trade. <3

It might be cheaper for for you to take several pottery classes, buy yourself a pottery wheel, build a kiln, and buy 1-2 tons of clay to practice with and perfect your form and make your own than it would be to buy/trade for one

These are usually available at the brewery:

Just gotta find someone willing to ship from Belgium.

Didn't want to start a new thread in the New England section about this, but do any of you MA guys know of a shop in the North Adams area that carries 3F? Thanks

I very nearly bought one but couldn't really justify the weight/fragility. Maybe next time, I'll probably have less beer.

I haven't actually had the occasion to use beer in mine yet, but it's currently holding corks. I might bring it in to the ceramics teacher here at school and see if I can't get a few made.

I don't think I'd use it for beers too often, but I'd love to put some lemonade in it! It's just a really cool pitcher and would be a good conversation piece.

Lovely. Already at the point I am uncomfortable buying it.

This is what makes ordering from Belgium so attractive. American retailers are pricing themselves out of lambic for the most part, but people who aren't "into it" like some of us are will still grab it at whatever price.
