how long does shipping (from Belgium in a Box in particular) usually take?

Does it usually take more than a few days for them to ship the box out? I ordered Monday and got confirmation of payment received, Tuesday morning I got a preparation in progress email and no update since then (yes, I'm very impatient.)

Just to follow up on this for anyone interested, Kurt emailed me a tracking number on Saturday and I got the box today. All the bottles and glassware made it without a problem. Great packaging and customer service, I would definitely order from him again, it's much easier than trying to hunt down the occasional bottle of Cantillon in the US.

Question: I just got a bottle of Rose that was *really* full...so much so that even when standing vertically it looks like some is touching the cork. Should I have any reason to be concerned about that?

No. I have a bottle of Kriek '12 that was originally like that when it arrived. After laying down for a month or so, I'd noticed that it was no longer full all the way to the cork, so I can only assume that a small amount had been absorbed or had shifted between the cork/glass/cap. There was no leaking.

Ok. Mine was from an etre order placed around April or May. Everyone that I opened it with noted that it did have an odd hoppy bite to it.

And yes, I am so ridiculously anal that I drew the designs for my lambic shelves in solidworks before building them. WHAT OF IT??

I like AutoCAD, but that's because I was a civil engineer.

I am also super anal, I used CAD to model my apartment and all my furniture to make sure that I wouldn't have any issues.

This makes me lol. I just got done laying out like 6 different options for the new babies furniture in his room, and am arguing logic layouts with my wife. [edit - I did the layout in AutoCAD 2013]

I will definitely be using these plans for my own shelving as well.

2002 is a whale, 2003-2005 is a bit hard to track down, 2006-2008 is easier. All are really amazing. Stay away from the synthetic corks (I think they're only in 2005-2006).

The earliest synthetic cork I've see on a 3F is a February 3, 2006 750ml that I have.

But seriously, there is no fundamental difference between Bio Gueuze/Classic Gueuze. It's just a labeling issue for the states. As far as the LPG goes, I don't think it's actually a gueuze. It's kind of like a jacked up Bruocsella in that (according to Cantillon) it comes from 2 year old lambic stored in wine barrels and then bottle conditioned with a sweet liquor.

Not that I'm aware of. There have been more Cantillon labels through the years than I care to keep track of. Though callmemickey has compiled a nice list.

The third was used for a time, I believe right after Cantillon went organic, so around 99-00. There was another label of the copper vessel thingie inside a room, as well, that you can see on Mickey's site (or on Untappd since I've been super anal about getting the right labels onto things).

I was unreasonably happy when I finally ticked all the labels.

As others have said, the beer inside the first three is essentially the same. My understanding is that the first one is the current Euro label, the second is the current US label and the third is the "old" retired Euro label.

The reason there is a difference in the Euro vs. US label is becuase "bio" is the equivalent of "organic" so in order for something to be labelled organic in the US it has to be vetted by some US organization and either Cantillon has not paid that agency to do the appropriate check of their sources or the requirements for organic are different and Cantillon doesn't meet the US standards (not sure which is the case but I seem to remember it being the later, can't find a source for that though).

The reason there is not a different US label for their fruited beers is because they cannot source enough organic fruit to make them so those beers do not carry the bio/organic label.
