Just curious, what would the shipping be on that pack? Gotta be more than a regular box with the weight of the mags, right?
You can optimize shipping (Etre at 25kg/90 Euro , BiaB at 30kg/100 Euro) where the cost works out to roughly $6 - $9 per bottle shipped. Its not too bad. Prices are pretty decent compared to what you would pay if you could ever find on shelf in USA.I’m farting around the site and stumbled upon this thread and subsequently Etre.
Explain this to me like I’m a child, because shipping seems insane. Do you guys just load up boxes and then ship at the same rate? How does this all work?

In most cases, it’s still cheaper than cheapest shelf prices in the US, especially when you consider tax.
I’ve found this to be true, but just for clarification for BSimp603, it’s not *significantly* cheaper. Maybe a buck or two.
3F OG value packs come out to like $16 per bottle shipped. They are $30 plus tax on the shelf here
Had a VAT109 last night. FFFuuuuu this was good. Not as delicate as the 50N, but still very good. Text book Boon woodiness with a hint of cognac, lightly funky, light lemon, medium acidity.
Would bang regularly.
Props to my 23 month old for the 4am wake-up
Had one recently and loved it. Mine was very mineral and funky.Had a VAT109 last night. FFFuuuuu this was good. Not as delicate as the 50N, but still very good. Text book Boon woodiness with a hint of cognac, lightly funky, light lemon, medium acidity.

Yeah that's the real thing, without ordering from Etre I wouldn't have any Cantillon Gueuze from the last like 3 years. The price differential is a lot less than it used to be, but it's basically the only way to get anything.Definitely one of the better deals. I remember them coming to about $18 per last time I ordered one, a few years back. Versus $21 on the shelf after tax. Then again, I haven’t seen it on the shelf in Wisconsin in probably 5 years.
Agree, had one last month and it was fantastic. I love the whole Vat series but this is up there with 44 as the best.

Recently joined this forum and decided this was the thread I was going to read from scratch (up to page 26). So, if you get a random like for a post back in 2013 it will be from, in all likelihood, me!
Some great (and very funny) reading in here!
Yeah, I know of one other place in town that has a heap of them. Might just buy them out. I am thinking this will go well over time.
Out of curiosity what do these cost on shelf in the US? We don’t get Boon here so I’ve never seen the Vat beers stateside.
Ouch! And I thought it was expensive when it was over 7€ here; granted, $20 is still cheaper than many American wild alesi've seen 109 around NYC for $20-22

You have to remember that’s nyc prices. I’ve seen them as low as $11-12 although recently saw a volume pack for ~$60 and talking to the guy who ran the shop he said their prices have gone up so idkOuch! Hoping it will be available onsite at my home once I get back in September. Care for a share?
