If I were a guessing man I'd say they wanted to have another sale at 6pm and ****** up.
I feel like they were likely testing the link before another sale goes live. That said, I'm sure they noticed the sudden influx of traffic on the link, so they may wise up and switch the URL slightly next time around. I'd recommend keeping a close eye on their facebook in addition to the URL.

Did a full horizontal of everything that's "regularly" made (outside of Nath, mainly because I didn't realize that had become a regular bottling) this last weekend in lieu of zwanze and that bottle may have been the surprise of the evening.

On another note, have had a chance to drink Blaeber 4 times over the course of this year and only one of them has been good. Two have been utter ****. Pretty disappointing.
Kriek might be my second favorite from them honestly (after St Lam).

One would guess it would be 30 EUR per pickup plus regular shipping rates for 18 bottles, which i think pushes it over the 30 kg mark and into the next shipping price tier.

Also, one can guess you won't hear back from Kurt for weeks. :p

15 euro per pickup.

Jonathan at Etre got back to me right away. Already set up a proxy for early next week. Paid 184 euro for proxy + shipping + two 750's of A&G.

So bottom line about $400 USD for the 12 Loons + 2 A&G. About $30 a bottle. Not a bad deal for hard to find seasonals.

Yea, god forbid a married couple both love lambic.

Tell that to the PLCB. They canceled my wife's order for bourbon a bunch of times when she was trying to buy it for her father, but because I already bought for myself

I've done the math and confirmed with Jonathan @ Etre.

33.4 lbs is the ideal target weight for a "full" box.

750ml bottles are 1.783 lb
375ml bottles are 0.955 lb

Math as you see fit, as it applies to what you're purchasing.

Seems like 18 x 750s and 1 x 375 is a sweet spot

BIAB most definitely is...single-walled with pool noodles. Être usually ships in double-walled boxes with double wall dividers and bubble wrap around each bottle.
...Are they double-walled? If they are they're still pretty thin. I had a box come one time missing the entire bottom, it was only held in by the bubblewrap they put on the bottom. I have no idea how it managed to arrive safely.

Most of the time everything's fine, which is a testament to how durable these bottles are (I think I've had one break out of... I really don't want to think about how many bottles I've had shipped over from Belgium), but the heavier you go the more stress is on these things, and the 78 Euro limit at Etre (~11 750's) is already quite heavy.

Do you know how many bottles make up the next tier after the 11 750ml tier? I ask because my I have 12 bottles coming to me so I'd like to figure out how many additional bottles I need to add to maximize that tier.

I kept a handful of boxes from past years' shipments that are double-walled and make great cellar movers, but certainly can't guarantee that all Être boxes are.

On Etre now there's literally a little box tracker that tells you.

Every BIAB box I’ve received looked like it was attacked by bobcats, but the contents are always safe and in tact.

Pretty sure they just launch overseas shipments from a canon off the cost of Ireland and it lands somewhere off PEI, is scooped up by some fishing scooter, then hauled by moose through Canada into the US.

I've never ordered from BiaB but the stories about those boxes made it an easy decision to pay the extra 30 euros and go with Etre for the proxy service.

I'm starting to feel like I'm the only one that only ordered one set from this sale.

No I was a good boy, too. Only one set for me. We are too close to Christmas to start risking bad boy behavio(u)r.

Edit: If you ordered more than one set, Santa is bringing you **** for Christmas is what I’m saying.
