Was in the bedroom with your mom, but I'd say it warmed up pretty fast regardless. Tends to happen when you pour it on human flesh.

Agreed. Had it Toronado on a whim and was very pleased. Bought two to-go but a case would be great!

Had 2011 and 2016 Golden Blend side by side last night...

Great '11 bottle, huge cork pop, nice carb, not too much oxidization, but the funk and maturity were evident.

'16 tasting a lot better than the first one I tried about a year ago. It was great but hard to appreciate fully when there's a 2011 to compare it against. Really happy with how it's doing though, 4 year lambic needs to be a more common thing.

Quite OK, not even close to Hanssens for example. Though I did drink a whole bottle and my stomach was protesting a little.

I too picked up the honey kriek box recently. Haven't dug in yet, but I am excited to. The info label on the bottle explains a bit more about the bottling (poor google translation):

A limited edition of Oude Kriek was assembled in two ways to follow the effect of honey in aroma and taste. The assembly number 44 (1,240 bottles) followed the standard process and to the assembly number 45 (1,266 bottles) honey was added.

Both blends bottled on September 5th, 2017

I do enjoy that they let consumers join in on the experimentation process with them. The blends will be fun to compare with each other over the years.
