Cantillon box tracking is listed as "Retained at customs : reason unknown." Anyone with any experience/insight about what may happen next?
This happens to almost every box I get from Belgium. Usually nothing to worry about, unless it's going through LAX for West Coast deliveries. Also, if it is a private sender (not commercial/business sender like Etre), I've never had a box turned away.

My box had Cantillon and Fragile plastered all over it, even said "3 bottles of beer" on the front invoice, and it still sailed through LAX.

Must be living right these days.

I just found a this sketch I did a while back that Bokker and GrumpyOldTroll decided not to use for a glass. 'Poje' gone GOAT.

These files are where we ended up landing - we made the imagery a bit more contextual. Fun little reminiscence looking at this stuff today.

^The pre-vector version of the top image looks pretty busted. Sorry. It must have been during process of adapting the hand-drawn sketch to a graphic. Since I stumbled upon this stuff on my comp, I don't know where the cleaner version is exactly.

Every time I see these glasses I'm like, "I want one so bad", and then I realize I don't, and will probably never have access to bokkereyder.
I hear that! I have never owned a bottle, but I don't think that all too many have, really.
You really missed an opportunity by not squeezing dickbutt onto that glass.
srsly

Annual checkup of 3F Oude Geuze bottled 27 Nov 2013, poured into a 1 liter Winderickx tumbler (inb4 yeahnatenelson comes back with a cooler tumbler). Cork took a little work to get out but finally popped off with a solid bang and a slow foam to the top. Great carbonation and retention. The nose is somewhat muted with some hay and grainy breadiness. This is a very sharp/assertive blend. Lots of tart lemon back with some nice brett character. As it warms up it starts to get a nice soft stone fruit and earthy depth to it. This blend seems to have mellowed and developed a bit more complexity in the past year. This blend is comprised mostly of wort brewed at other breweries, but it's also the first blend to contain any 3F brewed lambic in the post-thermostat incident era. All in all this one still seems like it's got some room to develop more. Looking forward to opening another one in a year's time!

To sell a bunch of expensive bottles to Americans?

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

No easier for us in Europe. Thanks to most of the bottles going to Mikkeller bars/events it can hardly be found anywhere and the Mikkeller marketing machine drove the hype up quick. Still, having been lucky enough to try a few at a couple of festivals, Raf is making some damn fine stuff!

First time ordering from BIAB, I got my delivery notice today so all is well. My order status on the site still says "Preparation of your order" though. This a common occurrence or just an innocent slip?

In case anyone has a hot take in them... what is the point of Bokkereyder?
The word the comes to mind is hubris. You can go to Copenhagen Beer Fest in Boston to watch Bokkereyder pour beer for his posse from an impractically large bottle, and maybe have a shot at buying a $500 magnum.

FWIW, I've had samples of a couple of the beers and they're good, but not necessarily better than other more readily available lambic.

The 10+ I’ve tried have almost all been excellent.

Man, so many people using the Lambic thread to talk about their International shipments. It's really annoying. Just relax, and it'll get there.

I mean, take me for example. I've had a package that has said "processed through facility" in Brussels for 8 days. That's the longest a package has ever taken for me. And you don't see me talking about it on here. There hasn't been an update for 8 whole days, and I'm not even nervous. Extremely not nervous, so much so that I won't even bring it up here.

Anyone who orders beer this time of year deserves their suds to arrive as slushies or get delivered to the wrong address. An address they wont remember/tell you and the recipient is a shitlord who wont do the honest thing and notify the part time delivery person who is only working the holiday rush for extra Christmas money.

Happy holidays!

That wasn't nice. I would think that you would be the last person who would wish for destruction of someone's delicious Tomes.
