The 10+ I’ve tried have almost all been excellent.
I mean, that doesn't really contradict his post. A lot of readily available lambic is also excellent. It's entirely possible that (for him, at least) there's just no ROI for the extra effort it takes to get the stuff. Which wouldn't terribly surprise me as that's how it goes for a lot of the hard-to-get or expensive bottles (though I've had none of their stuff so I have no opinion the matter).

I agree on the ROI if it’s hard for one to obtain one beer vs another. Was more kind of laughing at the mildly furtive rage within the post. :)

At NOGT in ME I got to try 19 different bottles, and to me some of them were the best fresh lambic I've ever had. All of them were at least a 4/5. The only issue is that damn price tag.

One thing I'm curious about is why, with such a small operation, he makes so many different blends. I can see some people looking at that and thinking it's mostly a ploy to drive hype and get more $$$. (I certainly think that's true of a lot of American brewers that make basically the same beer over and over but with slightly different hops/fruit/spices/whatever, but I'm not really sure if taking advantage of the idiocy of the modern beer scene is really something worth reprimanding.) Which isn't to say that I agree, I've met Raff once (before Bokkereyder) and he was a super nice guy, I'd like to try his stuff eventually, whenever it's not more expensive than my mortgage to do so.

At NoGT 2015, Raf had a gang of his early lambic blends in bag-boxes for like 7 bucks a pour at one's leisure. I think it was more or less the US debut of Bokkereyder. Kind of crazy to think just two short years later people are down to pay a G Note+ for a magnum on the interwebs. That particular day there were probably only a handful of people there who knew who Raf was.
EDIT: added quote to post from back then:
I have not seen any feedback about the Night of Great Thirst at Ebeneezer's on here...Here are some thoughts from my experience:

Cantillon and 3F's seasonal catalogs were well represented, albeit a little pricey. This was probably a good thing as it compelled many folks who get their fill of those offerings on occasion to venture off the beaten path and try the many unique offerings present.

Huisstekerij Bokkereyder - He's doing really amazing stuff- some really unique independent blending going on. One of the most fascinating things I tasted was 'Revival Gueuze' which we had described to us as a blend of 1955 and 2011 Cantillon lambic. The untapd description seems a bit different. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Can't wait to see him doing very big things.

Bottle was carbonated as all ****. Also awesome.

Het Geuzegenootschap blends were all pretty cool, although Angel Foam was not present. Neat history and some interesting characteristics to each individual blend.

Dat green walnut and CRSB10' :)

Bottle sharing brought out some pretty amazing things from attendees, Blenders, and business owners like the man of the hour that day, Chris Lively.

Great celebration all told. Meeting Forgetfu was a pleasure; in addition to being a lambic.info founder, he's a very positive dude and it was awesome to see the rapport he shares with so many other key players in "the lambic game".

The US of A could use more exposure to lambic like this!!!

Man, so many people using the Lambic thread to talk about their International shipments. It's really annoying. Just relax, and it'll get there.

I mean, take me for example. I've had a package that has said "processed through facility" in Brussels for 8 days. That's the longest a package has ever taken for me. And you don't see me talking about it on here. There hasn't been an update for 8 whole days, and I'm not even nervous. Extremely not nervous, so much so that I won't even bring it up here.

I’m in the same boat if that makes you feel any less not nervous. It’ll get here :)

MooseLang Gaseous Clay there is hope! Kurt shipped all boxes from our trip to Belgium (4 of us) and out of 16 boxes he shipped on October 29 only one, one of mine, went missing. No scans, no updates, until this morning. The rest had arrived within 10 days. 4+ weeks and it just got scanned through the NY facility yesterday. Stay strong.

Not sure if this is the right place but what is the best place to order some lambic style tumblers? Was looking at BIAB and it was pricey...was hoping for a stateside option.

If youre looking for branded tumblers, i.e. from a lambic producer/blender, you'll be hard pressed to find something stateside. If you just want unbranded glassware I found this while google searching this myself a few months ago. I have yet to pull the trigger so who knows if its worth the time/effort/money. If you decide to order please report back.
