I don't think so, especially because it's basically a glorified crawlspace. Every place I looked at had something similar, and I've seen listings that have things that are closer to real basements.
My previous place in SF had a storage unit that was half underground. It worked really well and was fairly stable. The new place doesn't have anything more than a standard crawl space. I freaked out pretty bad during last week's heat. I really need to get that beer fridge.

Last place we had, and this current one both have below ground 'basements' which has been great. We shall see if the next place has anything useable, or if it is back to a fridge in the garage for me.

Opened bottles from 2008 geuze from each of the major lambic producers last night. General consensus was:

1. Drie Fonteinen Oude Geuze
2. Girardin 1882
3. Cantillon Classic
4. Hanssens Oude Gueuze
5. Oud Beersel Oude Geuze Vielle
6. Boon Oude Geuze

I know I'm beating a dead horse here, but how could you date the Hanssens to 2008? I have a couple bottles that I have no idea how old they are

Not lambic related , but I don't feel like starting a thread. Does Fantome Saison (regular one) sit on Shelves anywhere? We haven't had Fantome around here for a years and I'm trying to figure out if I need to order some from belgium or not.

Northern California just got a bunch. Not sure if it's gone yet but a lot of places charge $30 so it tends to sit for at least a bit.

$30

Used to see them all over NJ on the shelves for about $15 and below. Not sure if that ship has sailed yet .

That is around the price point I remember.

Thanks for the feedback. Guess I'll throw up an ISO and see what happens. Just wasn't sure how easy or hard they'd be to trade for.

I think I have it available by me. If it's there like I think, want me to grab you some?

They've been in my possession since they arrived at the distributor from back in the day. So I know with complete certainty that they are at least that old, and not likely much older.

Picked up a bunch about a month ago near Tampa ($13/per), but were from an old batch. Band-aids. So it might be worth ordering some since US distro lags in comparison.

Fantome's are a crap shoot on quality. They have serious infection issues. Had too many band aid saisons to drop cash on them anymore.

Had my first Hansenns goozie. Can't believe I never tried that before. Quality.

Had my first one about 2 months ago. Really awesome stuff!

well.. ??? you have had so bad fantome ???

See my other post above. Another poster kindly linked your AMA conversation where you cited the equipment problems. This explains a lot. I have had a few bad bottles over the years though...which a few occurred during the 2013 time frame you mentioned That being said, I very much enjoy your beer! Cheers!
