Anyone know what the 3F vintage lambic list is like at the O-Droom? What's on it / prices? Cheers

o_Oo_Oo_Oo_O Literally less than 1% added.
I realized that and that's why I was so surprised. But the 5 or so other people in our group all thought the same thing. One even described it as cough syrup sweet ( I didn't agree that it was that much but you get the idea..) I figure with more time the funk could lighten this part up but I never have had the original batches so I don't know.
Also I do realize there weren't bilberries but cherries in the OG batches. Thanks lambic.info

Do we all agree this was the best zwanze out the gate?

This was my first Zwanze beer, so I don't have a point of reference. But in general I didn't enjoy it.

The nose was definitely interesting. I picked up a lot of moldy cheese (the types that are just a little too aggressive for my taste).

I've dabbled with brewing with blueberries and Zwanze had the same spoiled/rancid flavor that I remember from a batch-gone-bad. Friends of mine described it as iron-heavy, and I could buy that.

Either way, the festival was well worth the trip, and I'm really glad I was able to give it a try.

"fram-bwoz" Americans are dumb and think every French word with an s near the end is treated like Illinois

I have been driven off websites for my thoughts on how americans choose to pronounce European words.

Not even joking.

How can we make this happen here?

Not even joking.

I really, really enjoyed this year's Zwanze beer. Blueberry was the dominant flavor for me for sure. Didn't get a ton of vanilla until it warmed up though.

Let's all be fair and discuss the linguistic prowess of the Scots, Irish, Welsh and English whilst we are disparaging the Americans inability to pronounce foreign words, let alone speak a second language. Obviously, language acquisition is hindered by the fact that the first languages are English. The UK and Ireland have almost the lowest proportion of students in upper secondary school learning a 2nd language in Europe by a significant margin, less than 10% while the EU average is over 50%.

Cheers

I only speak two languages, English and bad English.

Not totally accurate.

Irish language is mandatory for all students in Ireland in primary and secondary education. In believe Welsh is compulsory there up to a certain point in secondary school.

Essentially both countries waste a ton of time and resources teaching kids languages that reduce the number of people they can communicate with.
