I was a big fan of Allagash Cuvee D'Industrial. Not overly sour like 99% of American Sours. Nice funk and mineral quality.
I just traded for a Farm to Face, Cuvee D'Industrial, and a Resurgam. Can't wait to try Cuvee!

Also...beat is $20/375 at the brewery. Cantillon is $5/750 at the brewery.
It has always baffled me how cheap lambic/geuze is in the country it's made, and how ridiculously expensive the average price point for AWA is here in America.
Since being jobless it's kinda nice to know I can't afford bulk lambic and don't need to deal with this crap.
You know, I think I still have a couple bottles of that turding it up in my cellar. I'll throw one into the fridge and drink later this week, see if I agree.Y'all are gonna hate me for this, but I recently had a 2014 Rueuze and I thought it was AWESOMELY funky and mineraly. Super nice.
Sorry
When I did the blind tasting with mostly gueuze and this one came in last. Totally different profile than gueuze and even Resurgam and Beat in the tasting. You know, I think I still have a couple bottles of that turding it up in my cellar. Have you seen the size of their business? The life the Brewers/blenders lead? These people aren't selling their beer so they can double capacity every year. Otherwise they would have to charge a lot more. They would also be quadruple their size at this point. They make and sell it to live, love, and share the love (for the most part).Also...beat is $20/375 at the brewery. Cantillon is $5/750 at the brewery.

It's good, for sure. But unfruited non-spontaneous AWA taste way different from lambic. I generally see at it $20 around here, though I remember seeing it at Trader Joe's once for like $16.The Allagash bottles too by the time they reach Philly, which doesn't include resurgam.
I think Rueuze Is closer to $30 a bottle here, although the one time I had it I did enjoy it.
Cross post with DDT
Tilquin draft. Life is good!

First time we have had this in our state as we just started getting 12 percent distro. Next time around I think I want to age it for a year before tapping. Cheers!
Yeah, I bought it hoping for it to be a lot better than it was. But now it's been in bottles for two years so maybe magic has happened! When I did the blind tasting with mostly gueuze and this one came in last. Totally different profile than gueuze and even Resurgam and Beat in the tasting.
https://www.facebook.com/CrescentMoonAlehouseWhere in Omaha is this? I'm headed there for work in a few weeks and would love to stop in and grab a glass.
I love seeing people comment on the cost of these AWAs. I've basically given up on buying any of these 375s anymore. Almost all the Allagash sours are wonderful and a big deal every time I drink them, but there's something extra special and romantic about buying a big bottle. If their bottles were $25-$30 for 750s I'd buy every time.

Shitlords muling from the breweries to sell to shitlord webshops who sell to shitlord retailers in the US who sell to #newmoney shitlords who don't drink the beer, just trade it to other #newmoney shitlords for hype-of-the-week adjunct stouts who got their trade equity by paying shitlords to stand in line for them.More of these ******* shitlords re-selling bottles they buy from webshops.

Actually one of the few boxes I'm legitimately interested in everything in there but the price is rough. With shipping it's almost $480. That's roughly $34/750 and $17/375. I doubt I'd pay $34 for every 750 in there if it was sitting in a shelf....BiaB's "Tasting Favourites" box is still available. Soooooo surprised it didn't sell out immediately.
I briefly thought about it. Just too much $$$. I want to know who the people are who buy from Trappist World and Belgian Shop. If you're going to pay those crazy prices, just buy a BiaB pack.BiaB's "Tasting Favourites" box is still available. Soooooo surprised it didn't sell out immediately.
I got the volume pack about 6 months ago. Too bad they dropped those for US ordersStill need to try Girardin black. Unfortunately none of that stuff seems to sit on shelves here.

Those asshats show a pic of a Cantillon-filled box and mention their "sour mystery boxes".
Then when you order a sour mystery box you'll get a bunch of shelf sours and a Loon if you're lucky.
Classic bait and switch. Unsurprising considering the shop.

Yeah there was a major thread about it in a FB group yesterday and I called Moe on it and he blocked me.
Was it that Sour & Barrel-Aged Ale Enthusiasts group?
