I love lambic. Over the summer I designed and built special shelves to hold my lambic on its side while still being earthquake-proof (this is a bit old, they're considerably fuller now):

(Ignore all the Bruery stuff in there, I just buy too much of that).

Someone finally bought te 3F hat from etre.

Couple years ago, Kurt from biab threw them in as extras when you made a large lambic order. I got one and only placed it upon my head once. I wore it to the first voodoo barrel room collection release...got drunk and threw it at someone/something and never bothered to go pick it up.

If i recall correctly, it fit weird. Not sure if thats a euro thing or I have an abnormally large head...come to think of it, the last loon shirt I got was an XXL and fit me like a belly shirt, yet I have an older XL that is so big its like im swimming in it when I wear it.


Wait...the **** are we talking about again? Oh yea, lambic. Im off to do some late season rabbit hunting. If im successful im gonna braise some bunnies in brouscella and feast like a champ tonight.

Need pics of the hat on the pig head you destroyed that morning. Totally off topic, but need another Barrel Room release soon. Lets crush some lambic whenever that occurs.

Did a rabbit braised with Cuvée Rene Kriek a little bit ago. Lambic and rabbit is a great combo

Picked up a Cuvee Rene Kriek for $11 in KC last weekend, it was amazing. So glad this is now in the U.S.

On another note, I pulled the foil off my last Herfst and noticed the cork is about 1/2" out from bottle and there is black and green mold on the cork and cage. This may not bode well....I assume this may be some of the flat bottles I have heard of people opening lately. Anyone else have this experience? I got this in a trade last year, so no idea where it has been before I received it.

I thought the price was higher than last time I ordered the volume pack. I even did the price per bottle but then it was still a reasonable deal so I never looked up what I paid for the last volume pack I ordered.

Saw SpontanBasil in Asheville yesterday. $28 w/tax at tasty, considerably more at the ****** bottle shop. Also saw some Tilquin stout, but passed at $32 at Tasty and probably $40+ at Bustin Heads where it was sitting next to the same $45 bottle of De Cam that's been there since the last time I was in a year ago.

When in Brussels, check out The Greedy Glutton, or Nuetnigenough. Stellar beer menu and many meals paired, if not cooked with lambic. They had a lambic braised rabbit saddle. Also, sardines and lambic is one of the best beer/food pairings I've ever had.

BIAB won't ship them to the US anymore either. The last Girardin 37.5cl volume pack I bought was 82 euro maybe 6-8 months ago

I ordered some 375's recently that were dated February 2015. Not sure if the 750s would be the same, but that would be my best guess. Wish they would put up a volume pack of Cuvee Rene Special Edition. They have a bunch of it in stock it seems.
