edit: Play around with my cart, I noticed the shipping fees for 5 bottles is less than $25 then jumps to $50 at 6 bottles.

But I see after today's post on this thread all the Lam, LPG, ZyF, and GB 750s, have since been all bought. There's either a lot of lurkers on here poaching or there's a couple regulars that just found out about that site and spent some serious $$$$$$$

Admittedly, I just heard about it today. Didn't buy anything though. In addition to the inflated bottle prices, the shipping is a bitch. Even in bulk, the price per bottle still won't go down

I too had some beers in my cart but even when I dropped to 5 bottles shipping registered at $80 and I just couldn't pull the trigger.

There's another site that has gb at a reasonable price (limit 2), but the only other stuff available is 3fog, decam framboise, and 375s of gueuze. Shipping is kinda steep but might be interested in splitting an order with a fellow east coaster.

If we got 10 3FOG 750s and 2 GB 750s it would come out to $20 per og and $45 per gb shipped.

Picked up a Cuvee Rene Kriek for $11 in KC last weekend, it was amazing. So glad this is now in the U.S.

On another note, I pulled the foil off my last Herfst and noticed the cork is about 1/2" out from bottle and there is black and green mold on the cork and cage. This may not bode well....I assume this may be some of the flat bottles I have heard of people opening lately. Anyone else have this experience? I got this in a trade last year, so no idea where it has been before I received it.

It will indeed be a horrible bottle. I am close to the ocean so send it to me for a proper burial at sea.

Not positive, but from a press release from the distributor who brought it into Chicago:

Available in limited quantity in the U.S. for the first time, these special-release 750-mL beers make their brief stint at Chicago-area retailers this week.

It reads like these will be limited time only, or single shipment. But maybe that's because Spontanbasil is a limited brew.

All this talk of CR Kriek makes me smile...then I remember that all the places where normal CR sat forever and I could buy however much I wanted at any time no longer carry it in order to save shelf space for the back sweetened ones that move quicker. :/
