Gueuze (and gooze) week day 3!
Tilquin Squared: Absolutely love this beer, its leagues ahead of regular Tilquin. I'm running out of words to use to pretend like I know how to describe gueuzes... uh, lemon, hay, oak funk? Its been amazing to see how they're all so similar, but so different at the same time.
DDG: First thing I noticed is it tastes nothing like a gueuze... Definitely some peach and lemon in the aroma, the taste had a more one dimensional lactic acidity with a hint of vinegar. Just nowhere near as complex as the real deal. Not bad, but it definitely didn't come close to blowing me away.
