Does anyone know what this bottling date is? I was thrown off by the "BB" part because I thought that corresponds to the month. But "BB" would be equivalent to 22, so I'm really not sure. Thanks for any help.

I believe the newer ones also may indicate which bottling line they were on (A or B), but I'd have to check my notes from our visit in June and I have no idea where they are at the moment

I'd guess Feb 10, 2015 coming off of line B.

It's been forever since I've had a Boon bottle, but I'm pretty sure that the neck label is when it was bottled, so your best by date on the back should be something like 2021, 2026, or 2031 (forget if it's 10, 15, or 20yr bb date). There are also neck labels that have things like 2011-2012 brewing season on it like Tilquin does.

Don't you have some sort of webpage with this **** on there? Year on neck is year the old beer in the blend was brewed.

That's correct, at least for the Mariage Parfait stuff, sticker is the year of the oldest brew, best by date is 20 years after the bottling date, so what you've got there was bottled in 2014.

Local place by me has the Kriek for $11 per 750. Seems super cheap. I probably should grab a couple... just had 1 last night.

MdV says it should be about on par with the Gueuze, and that seems to be what it's coming out as.

When I was at Cantillon I remember this was the same marker color and writing style that I saw on unlabeled bottles I saw there.

Additionally, the writing is clearly under the label which is interesting to me. SeaWatchman maybe you have some ideas.

Man Cuvee Rene Kriek is going to be in my fridge at least a few times a week if it comes around here at the same price as the gueuze. That stuff is so much better than any other fruited lambic I can get without paying shipping.

Can you get De Ranke Kriek easily in the US?
But yeah, Cuvée René Kriek is money.

I received the bottle from a friend in Belgium and I believe he got if from the source. He sent it to me in November fwiw.

GuzzleMcBrew just posted a photo of the back. As he mentioned, when we opened it we all seemed to agree that it was LPK.

It's not out of the range of possibility for this sort of thing to happen, and it's also not unprecedented in terms of Cantillon bottlings. I still have a few bottles of 2010 Fou'Foune labeled as Bruocsella.

With a King Julius you could probably keep it to 5 and then if youre feeling generous give the 6th as an extra. But it seems like a fair deal and in fact your losing the trade because 6>1
