Thats not too bad. I guess i got lucky when i visited Deconinck. They soldme a bottle for 28 euros. But i did spend like 500 euros at their shop so it was probably their way of saying thanksLike $48?
Something is sensitive but I am not sure it is that questionIf you have to ask.....
Apparently that's a really sensitive question around these parts
I thought GB'14 was straight-up fantastic right out of the gate at the 3F Open Days. Regret not buying a case now.
I'm a complete noob when it comes to gueuze and lambics, and I don't have any idea how this will age. But I do know that I love 3F gueuze and this is damn good right now. [Checks etre inventory.] Should I buy more?

Ooohhh, De Cam Lambiek Special back up, too.
No. You should by shelf stuff like Cuvee Rene and Marriage Parfait and save all the money you'd spend on Etre for a trip to Belgium in a year or two.
Sure, Cuvee Rene is a great, easily accessible beer. (Mariage Parfait has a minerally taste that I don't care for.) And I hope to go to Belgium at some point. But it's not money that stands in the way - it's kids/wife/home stuff. So until we kick the kids out to the street and have more free time, I'm going to click the button combos that make top-tier gueuze magically land on my porch.

He was being modest, that's all.You just said you're a noob. How do you know what top tier is? That was more my point.
Don't like Boon? Dead to me.You and me. One.
Not OP, but how else do people become not-noobs than obsessively trying everything they can get their hands on?You just said you're a noob. How do you know what top tier is? That was more my point.
Don't take Gabe literally. He's just kidding. Not OP, but how else do people become not-noobs than obsessively trying everything they can get their hands on?
I've never bought from Etre before, and doing the shipping calculus I'm a bit surprised that the prices are actually cheaper than buying off the shelf here in CA. (At least for the 3F stuff.) And as a bonus you can actually get your hands on bottles that fly off the shelves like Fou and Framboos (plus things like Golden Blend and Cantillon in general) if you're diligent, apparently.
Thinking of doing a purchase for my next big beer buy, but concerned about customs issues... how often does that actually happen? Have people gotten their stuff shipped back?
1. He wants all the lambic for himself.Don't take Gabe literally. He's just kidding.

(At least for the 3F stuff: comes out to €22/bottle for the 75cl gueuze vs. €23-something at the absolute cheapest in stores.) And as a bonus you can actually get your hands on bottles that fly off the shelves like Fou and Framboos (plus things like Golden Blend and Cantillon in general) if you're diligent, apparently.

Wait, I thought the whole point of craft beer was hoarding. You mean people actually drink this stuff?I already suggested the best way to try as much lambic as possible. Go to Belgium. There's a big difference between trying things and buying as much as you can to hoard which is what this thread is mostly about.
Is this on shelves in the US?x-post from today's DDT thread. Can't believe you can get this for ~the same price as 3F and Cantillon Kriek, I would take this over them every time.
