Anyone ever had the Meat Spin Gueuze? Must be pretty good.

Or it's the lesser of two evils.

Those white labels are ollllld. I'm not sure how far they go back, but the Hanssens labels we know now were definitely around in the mid 90's.

Will confirm. I know for sure the white labels weren't around during 1996. I remember trying it for the first time that summer and it definitely had the current label.

So, have any boxes made it through LAX recently? I was hoping mine would go to JFK but it did not, I want to know how worried to be.

David and I are both waiting on boxes to clear LAX. Its been a month now for both of us.

Damn, I have one that hit LAX on the 9th. All of my other boxes have gone through JFK and I was hoping this one would as well.

There's been chatter in this thread about it for a while, apparently LAX has been really slow and turning away a lot of boxes lately. No issues at JFK.
The two boxes that I thought had cleared LAX customs last week were in fact sent back to Belgium and should be arriving back at Etre in the next couple days. That makes three boxes rejected by LAX in the last 4 months, with none accepted through LAX in that same time frame. JFK has been fine for me as well when boxes happened to get routed through there. One of the boxes sent back was marked in the USPS system as "Cannot be delivered as addressed" - I called in on that one and USPS has an open investigation, so I'm curious to hear what they come up with. The other box just silently got shipped back, hopefully there will be something on the box that tells Etre what happened.

I'd be really curious to see if anyone has any tangible advice or ways of alleviating the problem. I realize that buying beer online and having it shipped here is in a legal gray area at best (probably not even that, but let's be optimistic), but I've never had issues like this in the past. If it's something where a fee could be paid or using a different carrier would bypass the issue (eg, if USPS is the issue rather than customs), I'd probably be willing to pay a little extra to guarantee delivery and avoid the hassle of having to ship boxes twice.

Admissions of a deuchebag:

I bought/reserved 3 bottles of Framboos on Etre in Monday. Each bottle was a seperate purchase. I was going to let the dust settle and then add a few bottles and ask them to ship it. I got busted today and they refunded two of my purchases.
