The opinions expressed on this page are the opinions of the opinionator and may or may not be....awww screw it...here is my opinion:

Lagunitas
Aroma:
Slightly earthy - and not all that hop strong to me...
Taste:
A fine bitter from front to back - a bit of fruity in the middle - more bitter in finish

Jai Alai:

Who am I kidding...this has been rigged all along...this ale rocks...

Winner: ME!

None of my Tampa friends have expressed shipped me a Jai Alai...hell, they haven't even gone with a slow boat shipment. I hear great things, but they keep letting me down.

JA fresh of course. But the fall off of that beer is so quick. 1-2 months its really lost it aroma and flavor.

Since I live in Tampa, this beer is pretty much everywhere, including BMC only places. Few day old JA is a much different beer than a month old. The fresher it is, the sharper and the more vegetal it is to me. After about a month it smooths out and rounds off. Sometimes I prefer the one with more pop, sometimes I prefer one that's got some age, since it goes down easier. It's all preference.

I don't think there's a comparison between the two. Lagunitas IPA is middle of the road to me, nothing that really makes me want to go... "Wow I'll have another of those!"
