First batch ever, strawberry wine.
Started with 20lbs Strawberries
10lbs sugar as per recipe (Can't get winecalc to install on my Win7 machine)
I mixed the berries, sugar, pectin, cambden tabs, acid blend and yeast nutrient, NOT THE YEAST.
Waited 24 hours and checked my initial SG before adding the yeast and it's reading 1.145. I read it should be 1.08. Do I need to add some plain water, or is it so high I just dump some syrup and then add water?
