Hey guys, I just wanted some input on a super hoppy imperial red ale. I want a very subtle caramel flavor flavor but the hops are the main part of this red. I'm not too sure what grains to steep with but below is my recipe. I'm also not sure if I should be using extra light dme or light dme.
1.0lb Cryatal 60
0.5lb Carared (not sure if my lhb has it)
0.25lb Roasted Barley
0.5lb. Corn sugar (dry it out)
Hop schedule
0.5oz Nelson Sauv @ 60
0.5oz citra @ 10
0.5oz galaxy. @ 10
0.5oz nelson sauv @ 10
0.75oz citra @ 5
0.75oz galaxy. @ 5
0.75oz nelson sauv @ 5
1.0oz citra. @ 0
1.0oz galaxy. @ 0
1.0ozoz nelson sauv.@ 0
San Diego Super yeast
Estimated OG= 1.070
Estimated FG= 1.012
Let me know, thanks!
