i am trying to make an ipa with citra el dorado and moteuka

i was thinking of something like this schedule/ ratio.

.5 oz smooth bittering hop at 60 mins likely centennial but could use magnum warrior or cascade

1 oz of citra at 5 mins
1 oz of el dorado and 1 oz of moteuka in the whirlpool ( 30 mins 170)

the dry hop is where i am stuck . i want to use 8 ounces and dry hop twice . once on day 3-5 and once 3 days before package. using all three citra el dorado and moteuka.

i was thinking citra heavy like this :

2 ounces of citra , 1 ounce of el dorado and 1 of moteuka on day 3-5 then the same again before packaging.

will this work and does any one have any better suggestions. is the ratio of the dry hop ok ?

thanks

Check the oil content of your hops if you can, but if not, my experience is that Citra overpowers almost everything in the DH. 2:1:1 is fine if you're ok with not getting a punch from El Dorado and Motueka.

Agreed that Citra overpowers almost everything. Length of time can matter as well. I regularly brew an IPA with roughly the same recipe. I've started using cyro-hops for more flavor and less grassiness. Usually I'll start with cryo-Cascade and then wait 2 days before adding cryo-Citra, so 5 days Cascade and 3 days Citra. This gives a more balanced flavor between the two. When I brewed it this year, I did not stagger, and the Citra is much more prominent.
