OK...I'm starting to think I'm losing my mind. I'm on page 195 of How to Brew, 2006 version where he's going over grain bill estimates. He states the Ppg contributions of several malts based off of table 26 on page 191.
In table 26 the As-Is ppg at 75% efficiency of both Chocolate Malt and Caramel 75 are both 26 ppg. But at the top of page 195 he's doing a contributions calculation and somehow determines that chocolate malt is suddenly just 21 and Caramel 75 is 25.5??? WTF?? Then the roasted barley ppg is 19 at 75% efficiency in the recipe but on table 26 it's 22 ppg.
I'm thoroughly confused...and hopefully didn't confuse any of you. What gives?
Edit: I've figured it out. He refers to table 26 but is getting his values off table 27. He also mixes up the tables on page 194 as well (says table 27 but is using values from table 26).
